judging criteria

The three categories will be judged slightly differently to accommodate their unique qualities. Please find the judging criteria below. This same judging criteria will be used for video judging and at the competition.

ORIGINALITY

How unique were the tricks performed. Did they have interesting transitions. Did the competitor show a wide range of skills.

EXECUTION

Were all the tricks and transitions performed to a high standard.

ENTERTAINMENT

How entertaining was the routine, did they engage the audience.

How hard were the skills performed. Did the competitor show extreme strength or extreme flexibility.

How unique was the theme, and how well was the pole incorporated into the chosen theme.

musicality

Did the music feel like part of the performance.

ENTERTAINMENT

How entertaining was the routine, did they engage the audience. Did they take the audience on a journey.

How hard were the skills performed. Did the competitor show extreme strength or extreme flexibility.

low flow

deductions

Please note that Low Flow is the only category that features deductions. As this is a LOW flow category, competitors are not allowed to have any part of their body touch the pole above which they can reach when standing on the floor. Deductions were issued in the 2023 season, so don't risk your overall score by going too high up the pole!

1st Infringement: -5 points

2nd Infringement: -5 points

3rd Infringement: Disqualification
